Alejandro Ovalle

I am interested in enumerative algebraic geometry, moduli problems, derived categories, and the interplay between these areas.

In September 2025, I completed my master's thesis at the University of Bonn, in which I explored BPS and stable pair invariants on K3 surfaces.

In November 2025, I will begin a research internship at the Max Planck Institute (MiP) to explore tropical surfaces and Mikhalkin's curve counting correspondences.
